KORMOTECH Pet Food Plant

About This Project

The Kormotech industrial manufacturing facility in the Kėdainiai Free Economic Zone was designed as a modern wet pet food production plant for dogs and cats.

The facility is designed to produce wet canned pet food for dogs and cats with a capacity of up to 64 tonnes per day, 20,000 tonnes per year, and 2.8 tonnes per hour. The technological process includes the preparation of frozen meat by-products, meat emulsion and dry ingredients, product forming, thermal processing in steam tunnels, sauce or jelly preparation, filling, sterilisation, and transfer of finished products to the warehouse.

The building incorporates production areas, finished product and packaging material warehouses, a freezer for raw meat blocks, a dry ingredients warehouse, sauce and jelly preparation rooms, a laboratory, administrative and staff facilities, a boiler house, ventilation plant rooms, compressed air compressor rooms, and refrigeration compressor rooms.

The complex also includes a security building, a waste storage canopy, car parking areas, truck loading and unloading yards, open fire-fighting water reservoirs, and wastewater treatment facilities.

Particular attention was given to production automation, compliance with hygiene requirements, process reliability, and environmental performance. The facility’s engineering systems are designed for continuous operation, ensuring the reliable performance of heat, steam, refrigeration, water supply, wastewater, gas, electrical, and automation systems.
