About This Project

Delamode storage building in Moluvėnai village, Trakai district, was designed as a modern goods storage and distribution facility in an industrial and warehousing area near the A1 Vilnius-Kaunas-Klaipėda motorway.

The building is intended for cross-dock distribution: goods delivered by trucks are received, prepared and immediately dispatched to customers or other warehouses. The long facades are arranged for cargo loading and unloading, with 45 truck loading docks, covered ramps for oversized cargo and 3 ramps for minibuses.

The complex includes the storage building, a control post, car and heavy transport parking areas, a water well, domestic and stormwater treatment and infiltration infrastructure, firefighting water supply and other engineering networks. Office and welfare premises are planned at the building ends with mezzanine areas above them; the office boxes are assigned energy performance class A+.

Architectural solutions focus on clear functionality, economy and long-term operational efficiency: contemporary sandwich facade panels are used, functional zoning is clearly expressed, and yard areas with internal roads are provided for heavy transport movement and manoeuvring.
