About This Project

Bendrieji statybų projektai (BSP) acted as the lead design consultant for the Homanit Lietuva fibreboard manufacturing plant in Pagiriai, Vilnius district. The project represents one of the largest foreign capital investments in Lithuania’s manufacturing sector, significantly contributing to the development of the country’s wood industry and the creation of high-value-added products.

The plant was designed as a modern and technologically advanced manufacturing facility meeting the highest international industrial standards. The project integrates production buildings, technological installations, storage areas and engineering infrastructure, ensuring efficient and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

One of the key aspects of the project was the integration of complex technological processes into a single production system. Design solutions were developed in close cooperation with the client’s technology specialists to optimise production layouts, maximise raw material utilisation and achieve high manufacturing efficiency.

The facility incorporates the entire fibreboard production chain, from raw material reception and preparation to finished product manufacturing and storage. Particular attention was given to process layout, industrial logistics, energy efficiency and the integration of engineering systems. Large-scale production processes, a high level of automation and advanced technological solutions contributed to the exceptional scale and complexity of the project.

The design solutions were developed with a long-term expansion strategy in mind, providing opportunities for efficient process management and future capacity growth. The Homanit plant stands out not only for its scale but also for its importance to the European wood industry, strengthening regional manufacturing capacity and supporting the production of high-value-added products.
