The reconstruction project of the HELLA Lithuania manufacturing facility in the Kaunas Free Economic Zone was implemented to support the expansion of one of the largest automotive electronics component manufacturers in Lithuania. The project included the extension of the existing production building, the development of new administrative facilities, and the modernization of the entire engineering and technological infrastructure.
The reconstructed facility was designed for high-tech automotive electronics manufacturing. The building incorporates modern production areas, technology blocks, warehouse facilities, administrative spaces, and employee support infrastructure. Manufacturing processes are focused on the assembly and testing of automotive electronic components using advanced technology and highly automated production lines.
Particular attention was paid to production efficiency, employee working conditions, and the sustainable operation of engineering systems. The reconstruction included the development of new transport and logistics infrastructure, expansion of parking areas, dedicated heavy-vehicle service zones, and optimized internal traffic flows to ensure smooth manufacturing and logistics operations.
Architectural and engineering solutions were carefully integrated into the existing factory structure, creating a unified and highly functional industrial complex that meets international automotive industry standards. UAB Bendrieji statybų projektai (BSP), acting as the general designer, developed and coordinated the project solutions, contributing to the growth of HELLA Lithuania’s production capacity and strengthening the position of Kaunas FEZ as a major high-tech industrial hub.
